Tampa Catholic High School

Pre-Kindergarten

The goal of preschool at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral School is to allow each child to grow socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. Preschoolers are taught Christian values through the encouragement of sharing, good decision making, taking turns, and being respectful to classmates and teachers.

Kindergarten

The St. Francis de Sales Cathedral School kindergarten program goes beyond the Louisiana curriculum standards. The goal of our program is to provide an environment where children learn to love others and love to learn without fear of failure.

Grades 1 - 7

The St. Francis de Sales Cathedral School curriculum stresses a faith-filled approach to the education of the whole student through the Louisiana curriculum standards and differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students.

Academic Support Services

St. Francis de Sales School continually strives to meet the needs of all students. Currently

the school provides Academic Intervention Support for remediation and enrichment, Project

Read, Resource, and the GIFT Program. Students who hold a current educational assessment are

eligible to be considered for the Resource Program, Project Read, and the GIFT Program. These

programs use strategies appropriate for the individual learning needs of each student.

Technology

Information literacy and Computer Science are taught in a spacious room that combines the computer lab with the library. Students have weekly classes in which they learn computer skills as well as navigating apps on iPads and chromebooks. Teachers also use the computer lab for research projects and programs to integrate and enrich the classroom curriculum.
